Your tasks:

You will independently conduct field tests such as dynamic cone penetration tests and load plate compression tests, collect groundwater, soil, construction debris, and soil air samples, and determine chemical parameters on-site using state-of-the-art technical equipment. You’ll also assist the field team with diamond core drilling and sampling for demolition projects. You’ll document your results digitally. Because of the varied nature of your tasks, no two days are alike.

Your profile:

  • Successfully completed training as a building materials tester / environmental technology assistant or equivalent
  • Enjoy working with various measuring instruments and techniques
  • Technical understanding
  • Ability to work independently and flexibility
  • Ability to handle pressure and work efficiently
  • Attention to detail and ability to work well with others
  • Class B driver’s license (BE preferred)

Your tasks:

You will independently conduct field tests such as penetration tests and load plate tests, collect groundwater, soil/construction debris, and soil air samples, perform diamond core drilling, and assist our drilling supervisor with operations on the drilling rig.
In the company’s own soil mechanics laboratory, you will conduct tests such as grain size analyses or determine consistency limits using the falling cone test.
Another component of the wide-ranging training program for a building materials tester (specializing in soil) is vocational school, which takes place in block sessions. Here, in addition to soil engineering topics, you will also learn about concrete and asphalt technology, among other things.
